  When a Professor at the Church of Christ's Abilene Christian University (ACU), Flavel Yakley, wanted to do a study on the earlier Boston Church of Christ he was welcomed with open arms by Kip McKean and his leaders. However, when Professor Yakley concluded that was causing abusive mind control, Kip and his "leaders" moved to be autonomous. Yes, Kip led the ICOC to be autonomous from the other Churches of Christ. Notice the hypocrisy?
  
  Kip went on to lead the ICOC in baptizing many and teaching everyone that the Church of Christ was "Luke Warm." I know of no record of Kip teaching Church of Christ was "Luke Warm" while he was apart of it. It was only when Professor Yakley concluded Kip and his "leaders" use mind control that the Church of Christ became "Luke Warm" in his sight.
  
  What does the bible say about who is a leader? The Bible teaches that leaders are elders, or Pastors, or Bishops. NOT Evangelists! Elders are leaders and even Paul rebuked Peter as recorded in the Book of Galatians (2:11-22). If Kip has to be at the top of all "disciplining trees" it is clearly a man made religion. Man made religion that focuses on Kip McKean and leaders who follow him rather than Christianity which focuses on Jesus as the leader, not some man you can see.
  
  If Kip's leadership created many baptisms, Amen! It's also created a Lot of abuse and maybe even theft of the Portland Church's money! Wow! How long will people worship other people? People in the ICOC use to look at leaders like Catholics do the Pope or like Muslims do to Mohammed! It's a sorry twisting of God's word and no replacement for Jesus!
  
  Worship God! Worship Jesus! Realize Kip,s approach to ministry has led many to worship him without any accountability for himself or for his leadership, or his "leaders." Members can't rebuke "leaders", because they have a Hierarchy! Try to find that in the Bible!
  
  Try to find a disciplining Tree in the Bible! Did Jesus tell Peter, "Your going to disciple John." "John, your going to disciple "Nathaniel." NO NO NO! Jesus did not create a Hierarchy! That is from the Military! Not the Bible!!
  
  Central Leadership? Find that in the Bible? It's not there.
  
  Disciplining a command of God? Also, not in the Bible.
  
  Yes, God does want the world to be Evangelized! So you got one out of 3.
  
  Jesus's movement is not a Hierarchy!!!! HIERARCHY is not of God!!! It's of the Military! I'm praying for anyone effected by the Kip McKean abusive style of "leadership."
